Shibari is hardly static. Even when the body is brought to stillness, the mind is free.

I was first enraptured by Shibari, and continue to practice it, solely because it moves me. It moves the body, it moves the mind, it moves the heart.

In this workshop we will be exploring the different ways in which we can move one another. hua hua will discuss these topics through different techniques such as Ipponnawa, playing with uplines and bamboo floor play. Through varying techniques, this class will provide a wider perspective on body handling; from a softer approach through suggestion, to a more forceful manipulation. Minimal ropes needed, maximum presence required.

Requirements: Riggers should be familiar with Single and Double Column Ties

About the teacher:
hua hua (she/her) is a Shibari artist and founder of Borderline. She began the first public Shibari events in Shanghai in 2017, facilitating bilingual events to help promote a healthier approach to Kink in China.  After running a studio in Shanghai during the pandemic, hua hua left China in 2022 to bring Borderline to a global audience. She has taught numerous workshops and performed in the Americas, Europe and Asia
