Body as a Space of Intensity by Moreskinsound (all levels)

Fri 7 Aug 2026 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM Studio Ma, E1 4BG

This special one-day workshop is open to anyone who

wants to build a deeper relationship with their body —

whether you already have experience with movement

practices, or are stepping into body-based work for the first

time. It is for those who want to feel more connected with

their body, move with greater confidence, develop physical

awareness, and discover movement as a deeper tool for

self-exploration.

This work is guided through a feminine approach to the

body — not as something exclusive to women, but as a way

of working rooted in qualities often associated with

feminine intelligence: adaptability, sensitivity,

responsiveness, endurance, intuition, and deep listening.

Here, strength is not built through force or rigidity, but

through awareness, precision, softness, resilience, and the

ability to sense and respond.

At the centre of this practice is the body — not as an object

to shape or control, but as a system of intelligence,

perception, memory, and resource. Throughout the day, we

will explore how to release tension, unlock habitual

movement patterns, awaken sensory awareness, and access

deeper physical and emotional resources through

movement, touch, breath, and attention.Through elements of butoh-inspired movement, bodywork,

conditioning, relaxation practices, partner exercises, and

movement improvisation, we will work with physical

awareness, coordination, presence, expression, and the

ability to move with greater freedom and authenticity.

Partner practices focused on proprioception,

responsiveness, and physical listening will help develop

sensitivity, trust, coordination, and a deeper connection

with others through movement. We will also explore

embodied connection with the natural world — working

with movement qualities inspired by animals, natural

elements, organic structures, gravity, and landscape —

allowing the body to experience itself as part of a larger

living system.

This is a practice that can be physically engaging and

demanding, while also deeply restorative. Strength,

movement, attention, and relaxation are held within one

process — allowing the body to work, release, reorganise,

and recover.
