Doors open: 10:30am
Day 1: 11AM-6PM
Day 2: 11AM-5PM
Level: Improver
Ideally, you have completed a foundational Shibari course under professional guidance, e.g. "Foundational Course I: Floor Ties - Earth" or similar.
If you’re unsure whether this level is right for you, feel free to reach out before booking.
Step into the evocative space between floor and air. In this course, we'll discover a new dimension - a new element - water.
This workshop is dedicated to partial suspension—not as a stepping stone to full suspension, but as a powerful, expressive practice in its own right. Partials offer a rich landscape of sensation, connection, and emotional depth. Here, gravity shifts. Intensity builds in subtle waves. The dialogue between partners deepens.
If you’re ready to expand your rope practice beyond the ground while staying rooted, this course is for you.
✨ What We’ll Explore
- The principles behind suspension-ready harnesses
- Structure, balance, and comfort considerations
- Core concepts of locking off
- Line management for safety and fluidity
This is about understanding the mechanics so you can make informed, confident decisions in your tying and developing stability, control, and flow in your partial suspensions.
You’ll leave with practical tools to create stable, intentional partial suspensions without rushing toward full airtime.
✨Between Earth and Air: The Emotional & Sensory Landscape
Partial suspension thrives in the threshold.
Through guided exercises and partnered exploration, you’ll learn how to:
- Cultivate intention in your scenes
- Navigate shifting sensations
- Co-create emotional journeys
- Deepen connection and communication
- Work with intensity in nuanced, sustainable ways
We honour partial suspension as a complete and captivating world of its own—one where sensuality sharpens and emotional arcs unfold.
