Tying Tengu in Flow with Ztella (improver and beyond)

The Tengu is stable, versatile, easy on the shoulders, kind to sensitive nerves, and so cute! But the tying often feels a bit awkward... why is it often so over-engineered and why do the hands stay free for so long?

In this class, you'll learn how Ztella approaches the Tengu in ways that finally feel smooth, flowing, and fitting to a harness this playful. We'll start by looking at the techniques needed to tie this harness and will then explore a few playful (and hot) floor and partial shapes that illustrate how to put this multifaceted harness to good use.

Prerequisites
Riggers should be confident with single and double column ties; being able to securely close uplines is required if you want to test out the harness in partial-suspension. People being tied should know what it feels like when their hands fall asleep, and ideally be able to tell that apart from nerve issues.

About the teacher
Ztella
I love rope bondage for the intense, touching, and erotic connection that it can create, and I’m also obsessed with shibari as a craft. Based in Berlin, I offer regular study groups and weekend intensives and also teach internationally at festivals, retreats, and conferences.
My teaching style emphasizes adaptability and safety, opening space for creativity and connection. I believe that participants learn best in well-structured classes in which the specific skill sets of both riggers and models, and their dynamic together, are foregrounded. In my classes, participants are encouraged to explore the mechanics and logic—the why and how—of rope.
