Hashira Floor Play with Ztella (improver and beyond)

Hashira-tying has a reputation for being technical, risky, and a little static, which can make it feel like it’s only for experienced practitioners. By working on and with the floor, this class takes a different approach and becomes more accessible, more playful, and (we think) a fair amount hotter. We’ll explore how to use these two perpendicular surfaces together, how they offer support, how they challenge, and how to move fluidly between them.

Whether you’re tying to a hashira for the first time or looking to get more creative with it, this class opens up space to tie on a hashira without that feeling of a ticking clock the moment you start tying.

Prerequisites
This class is suitable for a wide range of levels. Riggers should be confident with single and double column ties and have tied a few basic harnesses before. People being tied should understand how to recognise nerve and circulatory issues and communicate these with their riggers.

About the teacher
Ztella
I love rope bondage for the intense, touching, and erotic connection that it can create, and I’m also obsessed with shibari as a craft. Based in Berlin, I offer regular study groups and weekend intensives and also teach internationally at festivals, retreats, and conferences.
My teaching style emphasizes adaptability and safety, opening space for creativity and connection. I believe that participants learn best in well-structured classes in which the specific skill sets of both riggers and models, and their dynamic together, are foregrounded. In my classes, participants are encouraged to explore the mechanics and logic—the why and how—of rope.
