Emotional Impact Play I - The Art of Being Unforgettable (improver and beyond) - with Silvio & Anna

Sat 26 Sep 2026 11:00 AM - Sun 27 Sep 2026 5:00 PM Studio Ma, E1 4BG

Doors open: 10:30

There's a kind of play that stays with you. Not because of what was done, but because of how deeply you were seen. This workshop is for the people who want to learn how to do that, to read a partner with precision, get inside their head, and create the kind of charged, intimate exchange that lingers long after the scene is over.
What if you could truly read your partner, moment by moment? What if your rope could carry the weight of unspoken truths, empathy, and intensity?

We borrow from an unlikely source: Sanford Meisner, the legendary acting teacher whose famous definition of his craft was living truthfully under imaginary circumstances. His repetition exercise trains people to drop the performance, sit in real emotion, and respond instinctively to whatever the other person is giving them. It happens to be exactly the skill set that makes erotic play feel alive instead of choreographed.

Together we'll move from the verbal into the deeply non-verbal, practising how to stay grounded in yourself while staying tuned to your partner's breath, micro-expressions, and shifts. You'll learn to take off your own masks, let go of the resistance to vulnerability and big feelings, and look your partner in the eye without flinching.

What We'll Cover
Through guided exercises, you'll practise:

  • Reading your partner with precision: expressions, shifts, emotions, attitudes
  • Heightening presence: staying fully in the moment, even under emotional intensity
  • Bringing greater authenticity and resonance to dirty talk, teasing, and shame play
  • Developing radical empathy: responding instinctively to what your partner is offering
  • Staying inside yourself while letting someone else fully in

The result? Rope that is richer, more truthful, more alive. You will stop “doing” rope and start being in rope.

This isn’t just another technique—it’s a way to unlock emotional depth in your practice that most people never access. If you want your Shibari actually shift gear into something unforgettable, this is the workshop you can’t afford to miss.

Open to all levels of rope experience. No prior movement or acting background required—just curiosity, openness, and the desire to take your rope to a new level.

This workshop is open to couples and also solo attendees who are open to being paired up with another solo person.

About the educators:

Silvio studied drama in Paris and continued his acting studies on both coasts of the US before finally settling in London and embarking on a 3-year Meisner course, which became the cornerstone of his technique. As an actor, he appeared on UK television in shows ranging from “Emmerdale” to the BBC’s “War & Peace”. Since then, he has specialised in voice acting. In addition to his voice work, he has adapted the Meisner technique for emotional impact play within shibari and BDSM, both as a practitioner and teacher, bringing a deep sense of playful connection and truthfulness to these practices. He weaves this approach into conscious kink and sacred erotic practice, adapting the principles such as attunement and authenticity to Shibari and BDSM.

Anna Noctuelle has spent over twenty years in rope, teaching and performing internationally. She is versed across multiple Shibari lineages, giving her cross-traditional fluency spanning Aibunawa, Semenawa, and Fusion approaches. Grounded in classical dance, choreography, and somatic movement shapes a teaching style built on presence, emotional attunement, and making room for what people are most afraid to express. She's the creator of Shibari Score Notation, co-host of the podcast Model Behaviour, and co-founder of London's Studio Ma. Beyond rope, her work spans Tantra, Reiki, somatic bodywork, and intimacy coaching. Her classes leave people with a moving mind and more articulate in embodied thinking - always rooted in safety, consent, and authentic connection → https://www.anna-noctuelle.com/
