A talk exploring the life, work and philosophy of Yukimura Haruki (1948–2016), one of the most influential figures in modern Japanese kinbaku. Through archival material, interviews, personal testimonies and notes from his students, Roxu traces Yukimura’s journey from photography and television to the development of his distinctive rope style, centred on intimacy, shame, timing, play and emotional communication rather than technical complexity. The talk also looks at Yukimura Ryū, his teaching methods, his students and the legacy he left behind.
