The Matawan Aberdeen Historical Society is proud to present our 2024 Matawan Haunted History Walking Tours on the evening of Saturday, October 26th.

Shark attacks, Revolutionary War skirmishes, prohibition shootouts, unexplained orbs, phantom footsteps, ancient graves and true tales of mysterious deaths make Matawan one of the most unique small towns in the entire United States.

Save the date and make sure you do not miss one of New Jersey’s most popular sold-out Halloween traditions! We will highlight fascinating stories and show the actual places they occurred from over 300 years of our rich history.

There will be 4 tours - 6 pm, 7 pm, 8 pm and 9 pm. Each tour will cover roughly 1.5 miles and last about 90 minutes. We will start at Burrowes Mansion located at 94 Main Street, Matawan. Public parking is available on Main Street or municipal parking lot located at Little and Broad Street.

Our tours sell out quickly every year so make sure to reserve your tickets early. Tours will be limited to small groups and no tickets will be available at the door for this event. Children 14 and under are FREE.

All proceeds from this event will go towards maintaining Burrowes Mansion Museum and supporting our charitable nonprofit organization. Not a member yet? There is still time to join the Matawan Aberdeen Historical Society.
