As we move into November the fires will be burning, the fireworks fizzing and the dark nights enveloping us. Scents of ginger and cinnamon abound and we should run a sweepstake on when the first Christmas tree will be spotted. But, you don't have to wait until Christmas for a gift as we have a sumptuous night of stories to fill your boots
Twenty Years a Teller by Peter Chand.
Leaving the cruel world of retail management behind him to become a full-time storyteller, Peter entered the deep dark forest of the Arts. As a working-class lad from Wolverhampton who came from a Punjabi family and spoke unlike any other storyteller he had ever seen- things didn’t look too bright. That’s the thing with stories though, the really interesting ones at least. They have the power to surprise you…
Peter Chand brings some of his favourite and most cherished stories collected over the last two decades as a storyteller to Matlock Storytelling Café. Love. Life. Death and many a subject in between will be covered for certain. Followed by an informal Q&A session with one of Europe’s most esteemed and powerful storytellers and educators.

We
are delighted to tell you that soup, cakes, teas coffees etc are
available from our kitchen. We do still operate with good old fashioned
cash, kerching! so bring your purse to cross our palms with silver. All
monies from the kitchen help to fund our ongoing story nights. You are
still most welcome to bring a bottle of something cheeky with you.
We urge you to book in advance, if you are able as tickets often sell out.
To help our more technically challenged friends we have a very small number of tickets available on the door. We suggest you arrive early if you wish to secure one of these pay in person tickets.
We at Matlock Storytelling Cafe are embracing our quest; to bring top quality performances to adult audiences.
Grab a ticket, turn off your phone and join us on a journey.
