UNMASKED: An Immersive Gala Fundraiser

An evening of macabre merrymaking awaits you at UNMASKED, a one-night-only Halloween masquerade party that combines immersive theatre, cabaret-style performances, and unbridled revelry. Presented by Matt Dorado, UNMASKED will transport you to an eerie 1920's-era haunted house, where the spirits of partygoers past roam the halls, looking for one last dance... or, perhaps, something a bit more sinister. 

Enjoy a hosted bar featuring a myriad of boozy and non-alcoholic delights, including zero-proof beverages provided by Liquid Death, wines from Final Girl Wines, beer from OPEN Beer, and more; a stunning lineup of theatrical performances, ranging from dramatic operatic arias to mind-blowing magic; dark disco from DJ James Jordan; and additional tricks and treats to be announced. 

UNMASKED doubles as a fundraiser to benefit the remounting of MONSTER PARTY, a new immersive play that premiered as a proof-of-concept show last year. Attendees will have a chance to mingle with the members of the MONSTER PARTY creative team, and learn more about supporting independent, queer immersive theatre in Los Angeles. All ticket proceeds and on-site donations (which are tax deductible thanks to our fiscal sponsorship from THE FIELD) go to supporting the show. 

Macabre cocktail attire and, naturally, masks, are requested. Dress to impress!

Due to minimal parking in the area, rideshare is strongly recommended. Space is limited, and no tickets will be sold at the door. This event is 21+.

About Matt Dorado/Matt Dorado Projects: Matt is an immersive theatre creator and producer. Prior to the pandemic, Matt was the founder of the underground party series DRUNKEN DEVIL, which combined theatre and nightlife elements with original, character-driven, immersive storytelling. About MONSTER PARTY: Set against the backdrop of McCarthyism, MONSTER PARTY is an immersive theatrical play that explores how Western American systems turn ordinary people into monsters, terrorizing one another while those in power benefit. Examining moral panics, warmongering, religious extremism, capitalism, and more through the lens of a biting satire, MONSTER PARTY is an experience meant to simultaneously entertain and challenge audiences to confront their own monstrous tendencies. After a successful proof-of-concept that ran for two nights in 2024, MONSTER PARTY will return as a fully-realized theatrical production in the Spring of 2026.
