The Bradford Chorale welcomes Matthew Coleridge to their Come and Sing in Shipley. You'll be singing Matthew's sublime Requiem - one of the UK's most-loved new choral works - under the direction of its composer.
Matthew will lead us through a day of singing, culminating in a performance of his beautiful Requiem, together with selected movements of his latest composition, The Breath of Life.
The Bradford Chorale has been singing for 50 years and has performed in most venues in the area. St Paul's is a favourite as it has an excellent organ and acoustics, and is easy to access.

ABOUT REQUIEM
Matthew Coleridge's Requiem is one of the most beautiful and deeply-moving choral works of the 21st century.
Composed in 2015, in each of the last three years it has reached the top 100 of Classic FM's "Hall of Fame", with Matthew ranking in the top 10 of living composers. BBC Music Magazine described the work as music which "reaches into the soul and lifts it skyward", with Classic FM hailing Requiem as "a modern choral classic".
The music weaves beautiful melodies into intricate tapestries of sound, with fleeting dissonances and warm resolutions providing a lush bed of harmony. Irresistably singable, and with a directness that often overwhelmes audiences, Requiem is one of the great choral works of our time.
