Unremembering Feldman

Sun 12 Apr 2026 2:30 PM - 4:30 PM St Pancras Clock Tower, NW1 2AR

2026 marks 100 years since Morton Feldman was born.

Pianist Kate Ledger and composer Matthew Lee Knowles are curating a series of concerts across the year at the St Pancras Clock Tower, celebrating Feldman's music with the larger piano works, complimented with composers who owe a debt of gratitude to one of the twentieth century's greatest composers.

All music will be performed by Kate Ledger.

Join us in this second concert for a performance of Feldman's final piano composition, Palais de Mari (1986) composed in the year before he died, with works by Linda Catlin Smith (Nocturnes and Chorales, 2013) and Matthew Lee Knowles (MAYA-578, 2025)

We are extremely happy to be joined by the novelist Stephen Chance who will give a reading from his recently published book "Feldman in Love" then answer questions from the audience.

“Hearing Feldman made me feel that writing music was possible, that I might be able to write music that I want to hear." (Linda Catlin Smith)
