A 44-hour intensive course for teenagers and young adults (14–19) applying for Illustration and Visual Communication University courses.
Build a strong portfolio. Develop your artistic voice. Prepare for admission.
This intensive summer course is designed to help students develop portfolio pieces for future art and design applications. Led by professional illustrator and graphic designer Maximiliana Martiskova, the workshop focuses on the core principles of illustration, including observation, visual storytelling, composition, concept development, and effective visual communication.
Over 4 focused weeks, students will bridge the gap between technical basics and the conceptual "spark" that admissions committees look for. In a small and personal studio environment, they will produce portfolio-ready work and learn to curate their works.
Participants will be guided through practical exercises and individual feedback sessions that support the development of their personal interests and creative ambitions through visual communication.
