The Maven of Mucus Membranes, Creme Dela Phlegm and the Geeky Master of Seduction, Fantasia Knight present The Debut Revue held at the historic Mayo Street Arts.

The Debut Revue features new and emerging burlesque and drag artists, whether new to the stage, new to the art form, or new to Maine. The showcase prides itself on being an inclusive and safe space for new & emerging performers to be introduced to the Southern Maine performance community.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS

Fantasia Knight is a performer who is inspired by geek culture. She blends her dance training with her cosplaying, bringing both to the sexiest level possible. Her shimmy, shaking and teasing makes her a Knight that will ignite your sleeping dragon. As her first solo performance took place at debut showcase, it is only fitting that her first burlesque producing endeavor would also be on a debut showcase. She takes her experience as an event planner, film director and producer onto the burlesque/performance art scene, and hopes to tickle your brain as much as the other, more fun, body parts.

Creme Dela Phlegm is a burlesque performance artist & producer based in Portland, ME. She blends humor, camp and queer femininity with classic burlesque, inspired by alternative avenues to pleasure (aka playing with her food). Ms. Phlegm made her burlesque debut in 2005 on a makeshift stage under the glamorous clamp lighting at the Neal Street Garage in Portland & co-founded The Dirty Dishes Burlesque Revue in 2009. She has danced on strip club stages around the US, including behind the glass at the iconic Lusty Lady peep show, and has performed burlesque at parades, parties and shows in New Orleans, Pittsburgh, NYC, San Francisco and Boston. Ms. Phlegm’s background in Women & Gender Studies and Performance Studies informs both her performance practice and approach to curating shows. A maven of mucous membranes, Creme Dela Phlegm wants your dirty thoughts lubed up & ready to slip into the world.

COVID-19 POLICY

Mayo Street Arts no longer requires audience members attending public events to wear masks. Audience members who feel sick—whether due to COVID or any other illness—should stay home out of respect for others.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Mayo Street Arts has a no-refund policy for all reservations. In the event that MSA is forced to cancel an event due to weather, illness, etc., refunds will be offered via the Ticket Tailor platform.
