Palaver Strings' Beehive Chamber Series: Rise & Shine
Sun Feb 2, 2025 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM
Mayo Street Arts, 04101
Description
Beehive Chamber Series: Rise & Shine
The viola: the heartbeat of many a quartet, the one instrument most compared to the human voice. One not so low and deep as a cello and one not so piercing as a violin. The complete equilibrium, a paradise of weaving sound so pleasing to the listener. Adulations abound, for our listeners, we figure on putting four masters of viola together to see what they can produce! The product: going above and beyond, showing new heights of viola performance through technical mastery with special guest violist Sam Kelder, as well as new arrangements by our very own Elizabeth Moore and Lysander Jaffe. Also included on this program are works by Kenji Bunch and York Bowen.
