Tophat Productions' Les Misérables
After 10 years, Tophat Miniature Stage Productions will be bringing back its production of Les Misérables to Mayo Street Arts in honor of the musical's 40th Anniversary! Come see one of the greatest musicals ever written as you have never seen it before! David Worobec will once again be joined by his very talented friend, Bethany Perkins. With their trained operatic voices, a miniature stage and a full cast of action figures, Tophat Productions will bring this musical masterpiece to life! The themes of this show (based on the epic novel by Victor Hugo) are still extremely relevant, even today. The story centers around an ex-convict named Jean Valjean, and his journey through redemption, while being pursued by the obsessed police inspector, Javert. "Music expresses that which cannot be said and on which it is difficult to be silent." -Victor Hugo (1802-1885)
