Twisted Maple
Fri Oct 22, 2021 7:00 PM - 8:15 PM
Mayo Street Arts, 04101
Description
Join us for an evening of original songs by classically-trained “barefoot cellist” April Reed-Cox and guitarist Oren Robinson, down from their homestead on Twisted Maple Farm.
Oren and April have been the house band for many years on Mike Miclon’s The Early Evening Show, a comedic Maine-based variety show, and have shared the stage with Carole Noonan, Tricky Britches, Molly Gawler, and more.
During the quarantine Oren and April took time to focus on this duo project and develop a subtle and intuitive delivery style for their heartfelt and honest songs.
Oren and April live in a home that they built from lumber that they milled on their Thomas Bandsaw Mill. They have a small-scale fiber farm, endeavor to grow as much of their own food as possible, and a jar of canned tomatoes or experimental garlic scape pesto is not an uncommon gift from these two.
