Description
In a special dedication to the legendary Broadway composer, Stephen Sondheim, Tophat Miniature Stage Productions is thrilled to bring its one-man miniature stage version of Sondheim's musical thriller masterpiece, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, just in time for Halloween. Come down to Mayo Street Arts and attend the tale of Sweeney Todd, if you dare...
Sweeney Todd is a musical thriller set in Victorian London and follows the journey of a murderous barber who is obsessed with getting revenge on those who unlawfully imprisoned him, and took away his family. He returns to London to his old lodgings where, with the help of his neighbor and partner in crime, Mrs. Lovett (the owner of the worst meat pies in London), takes revenge on all humanity. Revenge is a dish best served... in a meat pie!
