Michael "King Pong" Trautman hosts an all-magic variety show, featuring Leland Faulkner, Andrew Silver, Phil Smith, & Peter Boie.
Maine is the home base for many nationally and internationally known magicians, and Maine Magic will be your chance to see some of your favorite performers in this exciting show. If you love magic, prepare to be amazed by these talented artists as they manipulate cards, coins, eyeglasses, your mind, and of course, ping-pong balls!
Saturday evening is intended for ages 13 and up. The Sunday matinée is intended for all ages and will be family-friendly.

Tickets are available for $15 in advance, $18 at the door, and $22 for preferred seating (pay-what-you-can-available).
ARTIST BIOS
International variety artist, Michael Trautman, has performed his one-man shows around the world since 1977. He appeared in the New York International Festival of Clown Theater, Festival D’Ete (Quebec), the Just For Laughs Festival (Montreal), The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Milano Clown Festival (Italy), and the Prague Mime Fest. Michael was the star clown in the national tour of OOPS! The Big Apple Circus Stage Show, and he was a featured performer in the musical production of BUSKER ALLEY, starring Jim Dale and directed by Tony Walton. In 1993-94, Michael was an Artist-in-Residence at MABOU MINES (New York City), where he created The Dark Clown. Other original shows include The Stooge, A Troubled Clown for Troubled Times, PolitiKlaun, Body Talk, What’s That Noise?, King Pong, and Death of a Clown. From 2016 until 2018, he was the Artistic Director of Circus Maine’s Youth Performance Troupe. He continues to work with aspiring artists through teaching, training, mentoring, directing and apprenticeships.
Andrew Silver is a variety circus artist based in Southern Maine. After graduating from the University of Maine in 2015 with a double degree in theatre and communications, he furthered his studies at Circus Maine and Selam’s Circus School. He honed his skills as a clown and mime and trained in tumbling, hand balancing, Chinese Pole, and more. He also became a certified fight director and stunt coordinator at the Maine Academy of Staged Combat. Now he writes and performs his own one-man circus shows featuring magic, juggling, and physical comedy.
Phil Smith is an award-winning magician with over 30 years of experience. PHIL is 4 entertainers in 1! That’s not impossible... that’s PHIL SMITH. Hold on to your wallets and your thoughts as PHIL reads your minds and offers you the gift of wonder! . He entertains at homes, schools, and many other settings from Maine to Boston and beyond. Smith is a ‘kid at heart,’ which makes his magic dazzle everyone.
Leland Faulkner is an actor/director who creates original magic, comedy, and a host of entertaining characters. He has been a theatre professional for forty years, and his success as a performing artist has taken him around the world. As a young theater artist, he apprenticed with master mime artist Tony Montanaro, and subsequently became his touring partner for three years. Another of his great mentors was the world-famous magician John Calvert with whom he performed in Las Vegas and in New York City staging some of his most iconic illusions.
Leland has had a substantive career as a consultant, guide, teaching artist, and director for many solo performers including storytellers, actors, opera singers, magicians, clowns, mimes, musicians, as well as university theaters, and independent theatre companies helping them develop a wide range of original productions. For four years Leland was the Artistic Director and owner of Celebration Barn Theatre, He was a master teacher for John Towsen’s Very Physical Comedy Institute, an instructor in Mime, Improvisation, and Shadow Play for theater teachers at The Tennessee Arts Academy, a movement specialist for opera singers at Castleton Artists Training Seminar, and throughout the pandemic has run The Kinetic Connection a virtual workshop for performing artists that is ongoing to this day.
Peter Boie is one of the most in-demand performers on the national college circuit with his hit show Magician for Non-Believers. His show combines masterful sleight of hand and astonishing magic to create a feast for your eyes while you laugh and smile the whole way through. He is also a best-selling magic inventor and was featured on the CW’s hit television show Penn & Teller Fool Us.

CANCELLATION POLICY
Mayo Street Arts has a no refund policy for all reservations. In the event that MSA is forced to cancel an event due to weather, illness, etc., refunds will be offered via the Ticket Tailor platform.
