Join Veeva Banga and her little sister Veronica at Mayo Street Arts to explore the diverse styles of Afro Beats! Afro Beats is a fun mix of Hip Hop, Jazz, and popular African moves.
Intended for parents/guardians and their children, this class will start with a partner warm-up. Participants will learn the primary names and moves in Afro Beats, and then jump into choreography. The class will finish with a game!
All ages are welcome, recommended for 4+

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Veeva Banga is a dance instructor based in Portland, Maine. She specializes in Afro Beats and Hip Hop. Veeva teaches for Portland Public Schools and local dance studios in Portland. She's taught at almost every school in Portland; Rowe Elementary, Ocean Avenue Elementary, Longfellow School, Waynflete, King Middle School, Memorial Middle School, Casco Bay High School, Deering High School, PATHS, and more.
Veeva Banga is a South Sudanese native dedicated to sharing dance.
