Join us for Puppeteers' Happy Hour!
This recurring informal gathering is for puppet artists and enthusiasts to share their work and ideas, catch up on the latest puppet dirt, and hang out.
For this very special happy hour, Jeghetto will share his process for building puppets with found materials and for animating those magical creations.
Jeghetto is a self-taught master builder and puppeteer residing in North Carolina. His puppets are abstract moving sculptures made of mostly found and recycled materials. He received two grants from the Jim Henson Foundation before becoming a board member himself. Jeghetto has worked with Missy Elliott, Pharrell Williams, Alec Baldwin, and Terence Nance. He was a guest on The Steve Harvey Show and performed puppetry on The Voice and HBO’s Random Acts of Flyness.
Don't miss Jeghetto's performance post-apocalyptic performance, “The Hip Hopera of 5P1N0K10” on Saturday, September 16 at 7:00 PM & Sunday, September 17 at 2:00 PM.
