The Tailor of Gloucester

Farnham Maltings is proud to present a bold new adaptation of The Tailor of Gloucester inspired by the tale by Beatrix Potter, written by Alex Kanefsky (Cable Street) and featuring an electrifying original score by double Olivier Award winner Darren Clark (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button)

In a town being drained of colour, a struggling tailor and a trio of sharp, ambitious mice finally find themselves on the brink of success. Fame and fortune await but to what consequence for their friends and neighbours?

Packed with live music that blends rock and pop, inventive puppetry, jokes, mischief and surprises, a cast of four spin this classic story into something fresh, funny and full of heart.

A fast, funny and big-hearted show about courage, community and the power of doing good - even when no one’s watching!

Bold, musical and bursting with colour - perfect for all generations to enjoy together, age guide: 3 - 103!

Presented in partnership by Take Art and Maytree Arts, as part of their Autumn tour, The Tailor of Gloucester will be coming to Templecombe Village Hall on November 28th. Doors will open at 1:30pm with the show starting at 2pm. The show runs for 70 minutes with a brief interval on top of this.
