Community-Engaged Research Days
March 27 & 28, 2025 | One James St. North (McMaster Continuing Education)
Context
To advance CER practice in Hamilton, Ontario and the surrounding area, McMaster University's Office of Community Engagement (OCE) and Spark: a centre for social research innovation (Spark) are organizing a two-day event titled "Building Capacity for Ethical and Effective Community-Engaged Research" on March 27-28, 2025. The event includes four workshops addressing critical issues in community-engaged research and an open admission Research Gallery of active and recently completed local CER projects. If you would like to showcase your research, please apply here.
Each workshop will be led by academic and community experts who have both theorized and successfully implemented community-driven research. The workshops are designed to combine expert insights with facilitated exchanges among all participants about effective approaches and ongoing challenges.
This event is open to McMaster students, staff, and faculty and to community partners and members. We invite you to participate in co-learning and in showcasing your research and engage in meaningful and collaborative conversations. If you would like to showcase your research, please apply here.
