Working in Relationship: Partnership Development Workshop with McMaster's Equity-Based Co-Creation Hub

Are you starting a project in partnership with community this year? Join the Office of Community Engagement and the Equity-Based Co-Creation Hub at an interactive workshop where university and community partners will work together to align your values, and create a road map for your partnered work, to inform your partnership agreement.

What participants can expect from this workshop: This 1-hour session will introduce participants to seven foundational principles of equity-based co-creation, with a particular focus on partnership development, trust-building, and shared accountability. Participants will have an opportunity to discuss readiness for co-creation, including the mindset shifts and preparatory work that support successful partnerships. Practical tools for establishing shared norms and expectations will be introduced, and participants will have opportunities to reflect on their own partnership contexts and stages of development.

About the EqCC Hub: The Equity-based Co-Creation Core Research Platform (the EqCC Hub) is an interdisciplinary group at McMaster University which aims to support capacity building for research that centers the voices of equity-deserving groups in inclusive co-creation. Based on five iterative foci (Connect, Inspire, Innovate, Evaluate, and Amplify), the EqCC Hub aims to inspire novel approaches to challenge structural inequities, build partnerships, strengthen ethical and power-aware co-creation, evaluate co-creation processes, and share practical resources to support more equitable, effective, and accountable service design and delivery.
