From Munich to the Midwest

You don’t need a passport to experience Oktoberfest. This September, we're bringing a time honored European tradition to the courtyard at McWethy’s Tavern...but with a Midwestern twist.

Chef de Cuisine Alan Darr will be your guide, combining German flavors, locally sourced ingredients, and thoughtfully selected beers for a meal designed to do more than fill your plate.

★ THE PLAN ★

The 'A Dinner with Chef: Al Fresco' series is about the feeling created when great food, good company, and an evening in the courtyard come together naturally. The Germans have a word for it: Gemütlichkeit. It’s the kind of night that makes you lose track of the time, and leave feeling like you were part of something more than dinner.

third → BOURBON APPLE-GLAZED PORK BELLY
braised Slagel Farms pork belly, Nichols Farm & Orchard maple-roasted delicata squash, apple cider-braised red cabbage, Mick Klug Farms apple chutney, caraway jus

fourth → STRAWBERRY PRETZEL CHEESECAKE
Mick Klug Farms strawberries, pretzel crust, Schwarzbier caramel
