Course overview

The Focused Conversation Method training is part of ICA’s Technology of Participation (ToP)® Methodology. Learn to facilitate both face to face and online using the tried and tested Focused Conversation method – a simple yet powerful way to help groups listen, think clearly and stay focused.

Using a structured sequence of questions, the method is used to guide people through reflection, understanding and decision-making, without conversations drifting or being dominated by a few voices while taking them on a participatory and transformative journey.

This approach saves time, reduces hidden agendas and creates space for everyone to contribute. The Focused Conversation works equally well online and in-person and with new groups and established teams. Essential to help build shared understanding and more effective outcomes.

Join experienced ToP trainers Megan Evans in a highly participative and supportive online course where you will develop skills, share experiences and gain an in-depth understanding of the principles behind this world renowned and powerful technique.
