National Emergency Briefing: Community Screening & Discussion
What does the climate and nature crisis mean for Britain, now?
Join Melbourne Climate Emergency Group for a powerful 50-minute screening of the People’s Emergency Briefing – an eye-opening film bringing together nine leading UK scientists and experts with the latest evidence and why it matters for things like extreme weather, food security, health and cost of living.
Serious, accessible and deeply thought-provoking, the briefing sets out the scale of the challenges facing the UK while also exploring practical responses, community action and reasons for hope.
Following the screening there will be an open, informal discussion for attendees to reflect on the issues raised, share ideas and explore what meaningful local action might look like.
Whether you are already deeply engaged with environmental issues or simply curious to learn more, you are very welcome to attend.
Places are limited. Please book in advance.
Doors open from 7pm. Start time 7.30 pm
Please note: this event is recommended for ages 16+
