A nightmarish cabaret to tingle one's spine!

The horror spectacular Dreadful Delights is back this year for two macabre evenings at the Russian Hall on October 10th and 11th.

To creep into the spooky season, Melody Mangler has assembled a collection of her favorite performing artists to create a macabre evening of music, circus, dance, theater, burlesque, drag, and magic. This tapestry of terror will feature top Vancouver artists performing original collaborative works to create an experience you should be scared to miss.

Emcee - Aleister Crane

Part magician, part television horror host, you might recognize Aleister Crane from his many appearances at Abracadaver, The Parlour Magic Show, the long-running horror cabaret Comedy of Terrors or as "that face" staring at you from the dusty window of a long-abandoned building. He has been performing his malign mysteries for over 10 years and in that time has raised demons, contacted the dead, found your card and performed a number of nearly-successful surgeries. Aleister is thrilled to be involved with the Dreadful Delights Cabaret and sincerely hopes that nobody becomes afflicted with an irreversible Egyptian curse. Again.

Creative Director/Performer - Melody Mangler

Melody Mangler is an icon of Vancouver’s alternative performing arts scene. She has performed around the world as an emcee, dancer, sideshow artist, and pro wrestler. She has been recognised by the Burlesque Hall of Fame and has been profiled by the Canadian Theatre Review. As a creator she has produced festivals, founded a theatre company, written and directed musicals and brought us hundreds of shows. In addition to Dreadful Delights, Melody currently produces the semi-monthly variety show Beyond Bizarre and the weirdo wrestling show GLAM SLAM.
