Brought to you by Me & My Mind, the Mental Health Support Teams working in schools in East Sussex.
In this workshop, there will be a maximum of 8 people and will focus on learning about anxiety and making some things that you can take away with you and use with your family. We will aim to make the group relaxed and there will be tea/coffee and biscuits available. You will not have to share any details about your family with us, you are welcome to listen and make or talk if you want to. Anxiety is a normal and a healthy human reaction. When anxiety is mild to moderate, it can often improve performance but sometimes anxiety can become a problem when it interferes with everyday life. This workshop will include practical things to do at home and share with your child, as well as lots of tips and advice to help with managing anxiety and worry and a chance to meet other parents and carers who maybe experiencing similar things to you.
About this event
This free two hour workshop will cover:
- Understanding what anxiety and worry is.
- How to identify when your child might need support with anxiety.
- Making some practical things you and your child can do at home to help.
- Information of further support and additional resources.
- Time to chat to other parents and carers if you want to, you don't have to!
The session will be relaxed and informal.
