Talk C.E.C., 1050
Description
We are happy to invite you to the opening vernissage of the European Art and Mental Health Exhibition "Threads of Being: Mental Health and Community Arts", on Wednesday 11th of December, from 17:00 to 21:00, at the Talk C.E.C (Créateur d’Expériences Culturelles), Chaussée de Wavre, 143 (Brussels).
This exclusive evening will bring together leaders, advocates, and policy-makers to explore the intersection of art and mental health. Join us to connect, exchange insights, and discuss the essential role of people with lived experience across all fields, from the artistic to the policy level. Your presence will be key to emphasising the importance of building a Europe that genuinely addresses the needs of those experiencing mental health issues—by listening to, involving, and empowering them. Surrounded by exceptional artworks from across Europe, we invite you to take part in shaping a future where art, empathy, and policy converge to foster a more inclusive, supportive society.
The exhibition will put community arts and mental health in the spotlight, celebrating the work being done across Europe in this field, examining its impact on individuals and societies, and asking what the future for arts, culture, and mental health is. By centring the work of people with lived experience of mental distress and their supporters, the festival and its visitors will take part in a conversation about art and mental health, and play a part in breaking the stigma which harms all of us.
