How to Journal

How to Journal: An Interactive Online Workshop

Have you ever wanted to start journaling but found yourself staring at a blank page wondering what on earth you’re supposed to write?

Or perhaps you’ve tried it before but assumed you needed to write every day, follow a particular format or somehow do it “properly”?

These are two of the most common reasons why people tell me they want to start journaling but haven’t yet.

Join me for a free, interactive 60-minute workshop to explore what journaling is and how you can make it your own!

Delivered live via Zoom, we’ll explore:

  • what journaling is & why we do it
  • the common myths around journaling
  • the benefits of journaling
  • different ways to journal, including freeflow writing, mind dumps, guided prompts, reflection, gratitude and goal-focused journaling
  • what to write when you don’t know where to start
  • how journaling can fit realistically into your own life

Throughout the session you’ll also have the opportunity to try a couple of short journaling exercises.

Interaction is welcome via the chat box throughout the session, with an unrecorded Q&A at the end. You can interact at a level that suits you (some people choose not to and that’s OK). You’ll never be asked to share anything you’ve written and can enjoy the experience in a way that works for you.

All you need is something to write on, something to write with and an hour for yourself.

This session is completely free and open to anyone wanting to learn more about journaling. Places are limited and advance booking is required.

Paid Patreon members will receive early access to booking before remaining spaces are released more widely. Find out more at www.patreon.com/juleshobbs

Patreon members will also receive access to the workshop replay and additional How to Journal resources after the event.

Whether you’re completely new to journaling, have dipped in and out of it before, or simply want some fresh ideas, you’re very welcome to join me.

Feel free to invite friends and family along. It is recommended to be 16 years plus for this session but mature teenagers are also welcome.
