Wellbeing Walk - guided by Bathscape and Walk Bath

Local youth charities, Off the Record and Mentoring Plus, are teaming up once again with The Bath 5k Map to offer a guided walk along Bath’s stunning skyline, raising vital funds to support young people's mental health and well-being.

Join them, along with Bathscape and Walk Bath, for a day of nature, heritage, and connection.

The route

Our walk will start and finish at The Brownlow Pavillion, Prior Park College, heading across Combe Down to Fox Hill and Lyncombe Vale. 

The walk will be led and guided by a collaboration of Bathscape, Walk Bath and The Bath 5k Map, bringing the nature and heritage of the route to life and of course encouraging talking and connection along the way! This walk concludes mental health awareness week, aiming to promote the positive impact of connection with our local landscape and community.

Meeting point

Please arrive by 12:15pm. We will set off at 12:30pm

We are meeting at The Brownlow Pavillion - this is at the end of the one way system of Prior Park College.

Bathroom and free parking facilities are available.

Tea / coffee and cake will be available to buy at the end of the walk. This will provide a great opportunity to continue conversations and find out more about the organisers.

Your guides - Annie (The Bath 5k Map), Peter (Walk Bath) and Lucy (Bathscape) will be joined by members of the Mentoring Plus and Off The Record Teams. They will meet you at The Brownlow Pavilion at Prior Park College and will be with you throughout the walk.

About our organisers and partners organisations

Off The Record BaNES supports young people to improve their mental health and emotional wellbeing through counselling, listening support, advocacy and participation. We want every young person in Bath and North East Somerset and beyond to be emotionally healthy, confident and empowered in themselves. 

Mentoring Plus supports young people in Bath & NE Somerset who are facing challenges. We help 5-25 year olds feel connected through award-winning mentoring schemes, youth clubs and inspiring activities programmes in our community. 

The Bath 5k Map is a collection of circular 5k walks in Bath. It was created by Bath resident Annie Legge to promote ways to improve mental health and wellbeing through accessing the outdoors. All profits from the sale of the map go to Mentoring Plus and Off The Record. 

The Bathscape Landscape Partnership is a coming together of like-minded organisations with a shared ambition to address threats faced by the beautiful natural landscape surrounding Bath, and to encourage more people to access the countryside, recognising its value to health and wellbeing.

Walk Bath is a National Lottery Community Funded walking group who walk every Saturday at 9am (and Wednesday at 6pm through the summer). We start from different places each week to showcase the beautiful scenery we are so lucky to have in our city. We encourage everyone to walk and talk, making new connections with people and places to help improve mental and physical health while alleviating feelings of loneliness and anxiety.
