Community walk - supporting local youth charities and guided by Bathscape

Central Bath (Meet at The Open House Centre)

Join us for an evening stroll taking a scenic route through Bath that connects iconic streets, gentle waterways and green meadows - guided by Bathscape and The Bath 5k Map.

It will be a relaxed, sociable community walk designed to create opportunities to chat and learn more about the nature and heritage of Bath along the way, while supporting two vital local youth charities - Mentoring Plus and Off the Record.

The walk also marks the official start of the Big BaNES 100k summer challenge - an award-winning initiative between the charities and local organisations that champion the benefits of walking, getting outside and exploring new places - including Bath 5k Map, Bathscape and Walk Bath.

The Big BaNES 100k challenge is encouraging people in Bath to get outside over the summer months and clock up 100km before the end of September. It’s a flexible challenge that you can join individually, as a family or team of friends or colleagues - covering the distance at your own pace and in your own way!

Money raised from this first community walk will support the two charities and you can find out more about taking part over the summer or just join us for this one event on 13 May.

Where: Meet in The Milsom Room (downstairs), The Open House Centre, 20 Manvers St, BA1 1JW 

When? Join the organisers for some refreshments from 5pm at The Open House Centre. We'll set off at 5:30pm.

Accessibility: Please do let us know if you have particular access requirements

Toilets and refreshments: There will be opportunities for loo breaks along the route. Please bring a water bottle. We will end the walk at The Welly, if you'd like to stay and join us for a drink

Dogs: Friendly dogs on leads with well-behaved owners are welcome
