This workshop is the third event in a three-part series 'How To Succeed In Business', designed to equip writers of new musical theatre with skills and knowledge related to the business side of getting their work on stage.
Join solicitor Stephen Pidcock and MMD team member Lexi Clare for a Q&A on the legal aspects of writing for musical theatre: rights, royalties and contracts.
Attendees are invited to submit questions in advance and Stephen will answer a selection of these queries over the course of the hour-long Q&A. If you have a question for Stephen, you will have the opportunity to submit this during the booking process.

Stephen Pidcock advises producers, writers and other creatives on all areas of theatre and live performance. This includes commercial, licensing, intellectual property and rights issues in the commercial and subsidised sectors.
As well as entertainment work, Stephen is also an experienced general commercial lawyer, acting for a diverse client base including influencers, authors, actors, talent agencies, art galleries, event organisers and charities.
Before qualifying as a solicitor, Stephen was press officer for the Royal Court Theatre in London and then worked for an independent theatre PR agency in the West End and across the UK, where his clients included many of the country’s leading production companies.
A member of UK Theatre and the Charity Law Association, trustee of the Bush Theatre and Mercury Musical Developments and co-Chair of the National Youth Arts Trust. He also is an award-winning translator of new Italian plays.
