MMD Open Mic Night - December 2026

MMD is back with our final Open Mic night of 2026 - and it is a special Christmas edition!

This is a relaxed, friendly and social event for members to share their latest work, and for this Open Mic, we particularly want to hear your Christmas/holiday/winter inspired musical theatre songs. Non-Christmas songs also welcomed, but if you have a song that fits the theme, now is the time to bring it out!

During the Open Mic night, we encourage MMD members to take the stage themselves to share their piece, but you are equally welcome to bring a friend to perform the piece if preferred. Members will have use of a keyboard and two mics, but backing tracks can also be used as accompaniment.

All attendees need to register for a ticket, whether you are sharing work or there to support your fellow writers. If you are interested in sharing a song, please select the Performance Slot option when choosing a ticket. Performance slots will be confirmed via email and priority will be given to those who did not present material at the previous MMD Open Mic in September. Non-members are encouraged to come along, but cannot perform.

Our hosts for the December Open Mic night, who will be bringing some festive spirit (and possibly bells, if they can find them!), are Annabelle Lee Revak and Lexi Clare.

This Open Mic is starting a little later than usual - and our Christmas present from The Other Palace is that they are going to allow us to stay at the venue for a celebratory drink after the event.

Doors Open: 18:45
Event Start: 19:30
Event Ends: 21:30
Post-Event Christmas Drinks: Until 22:30

We look forward to having the community together in the room and listening to what members are currently working on! If you have any questions before then, please get in touch with lexi@mercurymusicals.com.
