Join us for an evening with Jen Shoop, the beloved voice behind the blog Magpie by Jen Shoop, as she celebrates her debut book, Small Wonders: A Field Guide to Life's Quiet Joys.

In a busy, stress-filled world, it's easy to miss the small moments that make life sweet. Small Wonders is Jen's beautiful, gentle invitation to slow down and savor them — a warm collection of essays, musings, and poetry on motherhood, love, nature, and the everyday magic we so often rush past. It's an extension of the writing readers have loved on Magpie for years, distilled into one simple idea: pay attention.

Jen holds an advanced degree in literature from Georgetown University and considers writing her true calling. She's an adoring wife to her husband, Landon (Mr. Magpie, to blog readers), and a loving mother to two young children, currently calling Bethesda, Maryland home.

She'll be in conversation with Mary Beth Morell, owner of Middleburg Books.  Mary Beth will be exploring her inspiration, creative process, and writing life.
