Anne Steen- Personal Growth Workshop Series

Sat Nov 14, 2026 9:30 AM - 11:30 AM Granted Wellbeing, 20117

Middleburg Books is excited to announce a series of three Personal Growth Workshops with Anne Steen.

Anne Steen has spent her career leading global education and nonprofit organizations and walking leaders through the kind of change that keeps them up at night. Along the way, she noticed something: the best insights rarely come from being told what to do. They come from good questions, a little reflection, and enough space to find the answer you were already carrying around.

That belief became Keybridge Coaching & Consulting, where Anne helps leaders and teams around the world get unstuck through curiosity and self-discovery.

She's an ICF Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with more than 1,000 coaching hours under her belt, and she earned her leadership coaching certificate at Georgetown. She also holds a master's in education from the University of Virginia and a bachelor's in economics from Mary Washington.

Whether she's coaching, facilitating, or advising, Anne brings curiosity, optimism, candor, and a genuine delight in watching people grow. She's also been a dear friend of Mary Beth Morell's for more than thirty years

We will be using three books as a mirror to become more self-aware and from that knowledge get more clarity about what you want from your “one wild and precious life”!

Atomic Habits: An Easy & Proven Way to Build Good Habits & Break Bad Ones by James Clear

We tend to think transformation requires something dramatic — a new city, a new job, a total overhaul. James Clear makes the far more encouraging case that it doesn't. It requires getting one percent better, and then doing it again. Atomic Habits is a warm, practical, wildly readable look at how tiny changes compound into remarkable results — and why the secret isn't willpower or motivation, but building systems (and an identity) that make the good stuff almost automatic. It's the rare book that leaves you both inspired and holding a plan.

Purpose:

Help participants reflect on the small, daily behaviors that shape who they're becoming — and design systems that move them toward the life they actually want.

Learning Objectives:

By the end of this session, participants will:

• Understand the core idea of atomic habits and the power of compounding change.

• Explore the difference between goals and systems — and why identity comes first.

• Examine current habits honestly, including the ones running quietly in the background.

• Apply Clear's four laws of behavior change to one habit they'd like to build or break.

• Leave with one practical action they can take in the next month.

Book: Atomic Habits: An Easy & Proven Way to Build Good Habits & Break Bad Ones by James Clear is included in ticket price
