15-31 May
A new play by Marc Graham
Love, lies and plasticine men. This is the windfall they never expected...
Isabelle invites her children home for the first time in ten years. Wine flows in her Avenues dining room as old wounds reopen, alliances fail and a drunken confession sets everything alight.
Now they must decide: whose future do they cherish the most?
Join Middle Child for the first show in our new theatre with Isabelle, a thrilling play about a family on the brink
Marc Graham's debut play takes a sideways look at middle-class life in Hull, as you've never seen it before. For fans of Succession, The White Lotus, Bad Sisters and Industry.
Isabelle is produced by Middle Child with funding from Arts Council England, Hull City Council, Backstage Trust, The Sir James Reckitt Charity and the Garfield Weston Foundation.
Originally commissioned by Middle Child and Wykeland as a 30-minute piece, Isabelle premiered at Fresh Ink: Hull Playwriting Festival 2024. The production was supported in development by the National Theatre.
Free tickets for young people aged 16–25 are available thanks to the I Am Fund, through Middle Child’s No Dress Code programme.
