Fresh Ink: Meet the Writers

Meet the seven commissioned writers for this year's Fresh Ink: Hull Playwriting Festival.

Join us in the marquee at Stage@The Dock to meet our seven commissioned writers Elle Douglas, Dan McGarry, Jamie Lee Falk, Aidan Thompson-Coates, James Hall, Nina Koshy and Emily Lidgard.

Our writers were selected from 123 applicants who responded to an open call for writers with ‘a meaningful connection to Hull’.

They've worked with Middle Child to develop two drafts of their respective scripts, to be performed by actors in rehearsed readings on both days of the festival.

During this 30-minute relaxed event, you'll hear more about the inspiration behind their pieces, their writing process and what's next for them.

This is a free event, but booking is required.
