A talk with John Godber
New writing is often associated with big political ideas or heavy emotional settings - but comedy has always been one of British theatre's most beloved forms, and can be challenging and vital too.
In this insightful talk, John Godber shares how he crafts stories, characters and situations that make audiences laugh. From building comic structure to landing the perfect gag, we'll explore how humour can often reveal just as much as tragedy.
