Two snowmen. One mission. Don't melt.

Two snowmen are on a mission not to melt when they discover their perfect home - an ice arena.

It’s cold, the music’s great and the slushies taste delicious. They just need to remember one thing: they can’t be discovered by the humans. With a caretaker lurking around every corner, the snowmen must do everything they can to hold onto their new home and not melt.

This winter Hull theatre company The Herd brings you a joyful new show about friendship, home and dancing. Packed with visual comedy and told with a handful of words, Snowmen is the perfect winter treat for 2-6 year olds and their families.

Snowmen is supported by Arts Council England. Middle Child are delighted to host The Herd in our space while our annual panto, for older children, returns to Social, a few doors down.

About The Herd

The Herd makes space for childhood. Rooted in Hull, and acclaimed nationally, we collaborate with young children to dream up shows, installations and programmes of play that spark joy, celebrate child creativity and nurture family connection. We believe in the radical power of the arts to reimagine a world with more space for early childhood, a world where children thrive and families flourish.

Snowmen is approximately 50 minutes long with no interval. All performances are relaxed, with light and sound and softened and the audience area well-lit. It’s OK to come and go and make noise if you need to.
