CHANGE OF ARTIST: "The Sofa Sessions" at The Lion's Den Cafe: The Errol Linton Band

We're very sorry to have to announce that Sam Kelly has had to withdraw due to ill-health. We wish him a speedy recovery.

However, we're delighted that a Midhurst favourite, The Errol Linton Blues Band, has agreed to step in at the last moment. Errol and the band gave one of the stand-out performances at the Festival in November and we welcome his return with wide-open arms! For a great glimpse of Errol in action, look at THIS clip from a live BBC Maida Vale session. Fantatsic stuff. 

Three times winner of British Best Harmonica Player of the Year. The man Joe Bonamassa called on to play the haunting harmonica on 'Lookout Man' from his 2021 Grammy-nominated album Royal Tea, recorded at Abbey Road. The bluesman John Walters - John Peel's legendary producer - declared "the future of British blues" back in 1993, and who has spent every year since proving him right.

Born in Brixton to Jamaican parents, Errol carries the legacy of Little Walter and Sonny Boy Williamson into the twenty-first century, combining '50s Chicago blues with gentle Jamaican reggae rhythms. Thirty years on stages from London pubs to the Park Tower Blues Festival in Japan. Shared bills with Screaming Jay Hawkins, Bo Diddley, Dr John, and the Blind Boys of Alabama.

Some artists you watch. Errol Linton you feel - in the chest, in the floorboards, in the way the room leans forward as the first bent note hangs in the air.
