Lindsey’s Legacy Fund is proud to present
Chronology: Sting and The Police in Canada
From their first unheralded, and almost unnoticed Canadian gig in Toronto at the Horseshoe Tavern in 1978, through twenty-six tour dates across the country from 1979 to 1983, and ending with their twelve Canadian Reunion Tour performances in 2007 and 2008, The Police and frontman Sting captivated our country’s pop music audiences. In this dynamic new show by the renowned tribute band Sound of Sting you will be taken on a tour across three decades of unforgettable music. Close your eyes, and you can easily imagine Sting himself singing right there in front of you. A full catalogue of songs representing early Police hits, through to tracks from their last studio album, “Synchronicity” in 1983, and some beautiful Sting hits from the later 1980s and ‘90s will all be included in this not to be missed performance.

Since 2022, SOS has been entertaining audiences all over Ontario and in Quebec and the U.S. As one enthusiastic attendee wrote, “What a fabulous show…FANTASTIC JOB BOYS!”
Hosted by the talented and very entertaining Victor J. Hanson, the cabaret-style evening is all about raising money for Lindsey’s Legacy Fund For Clear Cell Ovarian Cancer Research. The event and the fund honour Lindsey Martin-Penny who died in 2022 at age 59 from this devastating disease. In cooperation with the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation this special fund was set up to support the research of Dr. Stéphanie Lheureux at The Princess Margaret Cancer Centre in finding effective methods of detection and treatment so we can achieve our vision of, “No more lives like Lindsey’s cut brutally short by Clear Cell Ovarian Cancer.”
So, get some friends together and book a table, or order seats in the balcony. Drinks available at the lobby bar. It’s going to be an unforgettable night!
