This special afternoon will feature an engaging artist talk by Patti Bélanger, offering insight into her creative process, cultural inspirations, and the stories woven throughout her work. Guests will have the opportunity to experience her art through a personal and meaningful lens, exploring the connections between identity, faith, and artistic expression.
Patti Bélanger is a proud Métis citizen from Region 7 and a multifaceted fine artist based in Penetanguishene, Ontario. Working primarily in acrylic on canvas, her unique style—“Contemporary Textural Pointillism”—blends pointillism, mixed media, and beadwork to create vibrant, textured compositions. Her work is deeply inspired by her faith, Métis heritage, and the natural beauty of Georgian Bay.
Her artwork has been exhibited in respected venues including the Midland Cultural Centre, Muskoka Discovery Centre, Thunder Bay Art Gallery, and the Hamilton Public Library, and is part of the Government of Ontario Art Collection Archives. In addition to her visual art practice, Patti is an active leader in the Kooshkopayiw Métis Art Collective, supporting community engagement through exhibitions, art crawls, and cultural initiatives.
This intimate event offers a unique opportunity to connect with Patti Bélanger’s work and hear firsthand the stories, traditions, and inspirations that shape her artistic journey.
