"We had such a beautiful day and I had so many lovely connecting and interesting conversations with people. I loved the farm and it felt like such a privilege to be there connecting with nature and sharing the time with you all. The kids had such a great time and are already excited about next year and camping. It’s amazing when you realise there are others having similar journeys and questions. It felt very positive for me…. a bit like a leap but one which felt really special and fortuitous". Camp Beenu 2022 participant

"Family camp was fun, restful, thought-provoking, sociable. The food was amazing! The music was a big hit - the kids said some of their favourite things were: 'playing the flute' and 'fun music'". Camp Beenu 2022 participant

"It was Judaism at its purest and warmest". Camp Beenu 2022 participant

"Fantastic, warm and freeing". Camp Beenu 2022 participant

Camp Beenu is a new Jewish youth movement in the UK cultivating nature-connected, diasporic Jewish identity rooted in justice and solidarity. Building on the success of our first two camps we are back this summer for our 3rd year!

Summer camp (ages 11+): Wednesday 28th-Friday 30th August
Supported by an incredible team of experienced Jewish educators & guides, spend 3 days immersed in the woods, making new friends, going on adventures, making art & theatre, singing round the fire & learning about activism and deep nature-connection through an experiential Jewish lens.

Family Camp: Friday 30th August- Sunday 1st September
An opportunity for families of all shapes and sizes with children of all ages to join for a festival-style wild Shabbat in the woods, filled with community, story-telling, song, nature-connection, discussions, workshops, dance & play. Particularly welcoming queer families, families of colour and families of mixed faiths who might not always feel comfortable in your average Jewish community.

We will be based at the beautiful May Hill Woodlands Campsite in Gloucestershire. This is a stunning site in the heart of the Forest of Dean with a big meadow to camp in, many acres of woodlands to explore and the epic May Hill very close by. This is a campsite, with compost toilets and hot showers and an indoor barn with some electricity, a woodburner and sofa's.

We would love to have you join us! Our events always operate on a sliding scale and ticket costs covers all food, camping spots, programming & camp resources. We are trying to keep costs down whilst being realistic around how much it costs to actually put this on (without institutional funding...)! Please pay as much as you can afford and do be in touch if costs are still a barrier. If you are able to offer an additional donation to support this camp and emerging youth movement that would be much appreciated!

Child Tickets are for those aged 6-16. Adult tickets are for 16+. Children aged 5 and under go free.

Summer Camp £100/£150/£200/£250/£300

Adult Ticket: Family Camp £100/£150/£200/£250/£300

Child Ticket: Family Camp: £50/£75/100/£125

Access needs: We will be camping in a basic campsite with compost loo's and a shower. The site is generally quite flat and there is step-free access to the barn. We would love to support your access needs at this event, where possible. Please get in touch to check in about this.

Need to borrow/hire some camping kit? Let us know and we'll do our best to support. There is also an option of upgrading to have a glamping bell tent set up for you. If this is something you are interested in, please let us know.

Please don't hesitate to reach out to us with any questions or to have a chat at campbeenu@gmail.com

Earth-based educator? Budding camp musician? Illustrous cook? Please get in touch if you'd like to be part of making camp happen!

"These times call for spaces for British Jewish youth to learn a Judaism that is rooted in social justice, solidarity and profound earth-based wisdom. Camp Beenu is a brilliant and essential intiative." Camp Beenu 2022 organiser & participant
