One Jazz Presents On The Corner at The Mildmay

Come and join us for a night of quality jazz (and a touch of rare soul) live and on vinyl. Hosted by Jez Nelson, long-time jazz presenter and DJ with the BBC, Jazz FM (and now One Jazz) and Robin Brunson from London’s Audio Gold.

September sees live music from the fabulous Donovan Haffner Trio. Donovan studied at The Royal Academy of Music and is also an alumnus of Tomorrows Warriors (Champions of brilliant young jazz musicians and spawning the likes of Ezra Collective and Nubya Garcia among many others). Donovan’s cool and sultry alto sax is a feast for the ears.

Plus special guest DJ Ceylan Goksel. Ceylan DJ’s all over the UK and Europe and produces and DJ’s for My Analog Journal. She also has shows on Netil Radio and Resonance FM. Hailing from Turkey her music influences are wide and varied,…expect to hear new things!

Plus! - we will be hosting a special vinyl playback of the new Vibration Black Finger LP - 'Everybody Cryin' Mercy',.. a beautiful spiritual and cosmic jazz journey, produced by Lascelle Gordon - formerly of The Brand New Heavies and Campag Velocet among others.
