Pete Brown gave a sold-out talk to the Stoke Newington Literary Festival in June 2022, it was an irreverent & very personal history based on his new book 'Clubland: How Working Men's Clubs Shaped Britain' - and the Club is happy to announce Pete's return for those not lucky enough to see him first time round! Ruth Cherrington, author of 'Not Just Beer & Bingo: A Social History of Working Men's Clubs' will join Pete in conversation to discuss to the past, present and future of a very British institution and show just how indebted British culture is to Clubland.
