Make Your Own Straw Hat – A Two-Day Millinery Workshop

Create something beautiful, learn the art of millinery and leave with a hat you’ve made entirely yourself.

Join us for a wonderfully creative two-day straw hat making workshop, where you’ll discover the traditional techniques of hand-blocking and millinery while creating your very own hat.

Over the two days, you’ll be guided through the complete process of making a hat. Choose your hat shape – perhaps a classic fedora or an elegant cloche – and begin shaping your hat by hand using traditional millinery techniques.

Once your hat has been blocked and shaped, you’ll learn how to create a beautiful bespoke trim to give your hat its own personality. From ribbons and bows to more individual decorative details, you’ll have the freedom to make your hat completely your own.

A creative experience in a small, friendly group

With only four places available, this is a wonderfully intimate workshop where you’ll receive plenty of individual guidance and encouragement throughout the process. No previous millinery experience is necessary – just bring your enthusiasm and enjoy learning something new.

And, of course, no creative day at Mille Fleurs would be complete without tea, coffee and homemade cake along the way!
