Join us for the next Mill Road Collective event on social impact filmmaking with Netflix Documentary Director, Dominic Streeter.
Dom's work has led to extensive research in the areas of addiction, drug policy and mental health; areas that he is considered to now be a leading journalistic voice. He is the director of Ten Dollar Death Trip: Inside the Fentanyl Crisis (Netflix) and his 2020 Australian film, Half A Million Steps, triggered a AUD $305 million dollar funding pledge into addiction treatment and harm reduction by the New South Wales government.
We will be screening extracts from Dom's films and talking about everything from how he got into documentary filmmaking, the advantages, challenges and ethics of unscripted content, Dom's 6 rules for driving change through documentaries and how we can measure this, AI, diversity and inclusion within film and TV - and much, much more.
This event promises to provide a fascinating insight into high-end, impactful filmmaking that drives tangible change and we hope to see you there!
