Join us as best-selling crime novelist Elly Griffiths talks about and reads from her brand new crime novel, The Locked Room, published by Quercus on 3 February 2022. This is the fourteenth book in the Ruth Galloway series, and finds Ruth, a forensic archaeologist, and Norfolk policeman DCI Nelson on the hunt for a murderer as Covid lockdowns take hold.
As well as offering a great opportunity to hear about this new book directly from the author, Elly will also undertake a Q&A session towards the end of the event so do come prepared to ask any burning questions you may have about her writing and the ongoing adventures of her characters.
Biographical note
Elly Griffith is a best-selling crime novelist. Her first series centres around Ruth Galloway, a forensic archaeologist who lives and works in north Norfolk. The first book in the series, The Crossing Places, was published in 2009.
Her second series, launched in 2014, is set in Brighton in 1950, and features Detective Inspector Edgar Stephens. The Stranger Diaries, the first novel in a new series, Harbinder Kaur, won the 2020 Edgar Allan Poe Award for best novel. In 2021, The Postscript Murders – the second in this series - was shortlisted in the Gold Dagger category of the Crime Writer's Association Awards.
